Waterloo alumni in the Alumni Tent at the Warrior football game.
Recapping Reunion 2013

by the Office of Alumni Relations.

Reunion 2013 was a hit with over 4,000 attendees as alumni came back with family and friends to revisit, reunite, and relive their Waterloo days.

The campus was alive with events, which started with the 28th annual AHS Fun Run led by the Grand Marshal, Director of Athletics, Bob Copeland. Alumni, students, faculty, staff and members of the wider community ran/walked Ring Road in a 5k or 2.5k race.

The alumni VIP tent was a tremendous success selling out this year. In the tent, alumni enjoyed beer samplings, a 3 course lunch, giveaways and a live band as they watched the Waterloo Warriors football team take on the Guelph Gryphons.

Amongst the many events happening across campus, university volunteers gathered to celebrate and remember all their hard work in giving back to the campus over the years. In attendance were past volunteers of the Federation Orientation Committee who gathered for dinner and trivia while reminiscing about their days coordinating the events for new students each year, making student’s transition to university fun and memorable.

The Campus Response Team volunteers also met to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the student run service. The event was well attended and the group was pleased to have the co-founder of the Campus Response Team in attendance, alumnus Dr. Benjamin Thomson (BSc ’99).

Reunion 2013 was a great success. Thank you to our volunteers, the day could not have been possible without you. Thank you to everyone who participated and we can’t wait to see you all next year!
