MEMORIAL SERVICE: Robert Graham of the department of recreation and
leisure studies, who died Saturday, will be remembered at a memorial
service this evening. The service begins at 7:30 p.m. at St. Columba's
Anglican Church on Lincoln Road.

ONE MORE WEEK: There is no Gazette issue today. Weekly publication of
the Gazette will resume next Wednesday, September 1.

STREET PEOPLE: The fifth annual Waterloo Busker Carnival starts tomorrow
and runs through Sunday. This may be the liveliest local festival of
the year (and, unlike how things were for Sounds of Summer in June,
the parking is free). Eighteen jugglers, clowns, singers and other
entertainers will be taking part, and many of them are staying in UW's
Village 2 during their time in Waterloo. Hope for good weather, so that
activities can take place on the "busker stage" on King Street, rather
than being moved to Waterloo Arena.

VALUE PLUS CARDS: Food services has its cameras at the Davis Centre
and Needles Hall today; they'll be in the campus centre next week.
Purpose of the pictures: the new Value Plus Card for faculty and staff
members. You can apply for a credit account, or put cash down and use
it as a "debit card" for purchases at all food services outlets, not
to mention East Side Mario's, Casey's and Pizza Pizza.
